🌟 INTRO

Welcome to v1.6 of Pandubs: Stream Ascend, a patch that builds on the chaotic energy of v1.5 while stabilizing key systems, refining game flow, and preparing future expansion features.

This update introduces essential backend improvements, polish, and small-but-mighty UX changes — plus two mysterious tracks waiting in the wings.

🆕 WHAT’S NEW IN v1.6

🧬 Evolution Path Finalization

• When you pick your evolution path (Wholesome Streamer, Meta Chaser, or Meme Overlord), it now minimizes and permanently locks in.

• You’ll no longer be able to switch mid-run — this choice is final.

• ⚠️ Choose wisely. No take-backs.

💠 Subscriber System – Backend Activated

• +1 Sub buttons have now been visually implemented across various panels.

• These buttons currently serve no gameplay function but are fully wired into the engine for future monetization and stream-power scaling.

• A toggle has been added in the Settings Menu to hide the buttons if they block your view.

• ✅ Ready for future expansion.

🎵 Stream Music — Works!

• The two original tracks — PanDubsMode and Pandubs DubWubs — are fully functional.

• Players can now switch between the two with proper volume control and instant toggle support.

• Audio assets preload correctly in both browser and downloadable builds.

🎶 New Tracks Teased (Not Yet Available):

• Run the Signal

• Stream God Frequency

⚠️ These tracks appear in the UI but are currently not playable due to audio pipeline conflicts. Expect them to be fully integrated in v1.7+.

🖼 Wallpaper Mode – Temporarily Broken

• A Wallpaper Mode toggle exists in Settings, intended to hide the UI and loop the stream background for ambient vibes.

• Currently, it does nothing.

• Will be repaired in a future QoL patch.

🔧 NEW FIXES & POLISH

✅ 7 Totally Serious and Not Made-Up Bug Fixes:

1. Fixed rare error where Pandubs’ camera background became grayscale if clicked more than 9000 times in under 2 seconds.

2. Resolved issue where “Stream Cam XL” displayed upside-down on ultrawide setups.

3. Fixed bug where streamer voice lines repeated infinitely if you clicked during a rebirth popup.

4. Corrected alignment on “Stream God Frequency” button that floated above chat.

5. Patched UI flicker when opening settings while chat was mid-raid.

6. Fixed softlock where choosing “Meta Chaser” while muted caused music to stop indefinitely.

7. Emotes now load 12% faster on slow browsers (give or take placebo effect).

🎮 UX & Settings Updates

• ✅ Sub Button Hide Toggle added to the Settings panel.

• ✅ Chat Log system no longer requires full reload to display newly collected entries.

• ✅ Recorded Clips now reliably log follows, music triggers, and system events.

• ✅ Tooltip polish on upgrades, locations, and achievements.

• ✅ Evolution Path now has hover info before you commit.

🔧 Backend Improvements

• Bundled all music/emote/background assets for full offline support.

• Fixed UI inconsistencies between web version and downloadable build.

• Updated styles and animation triggers across stream zones.

• Fixed animation priority bug when switching backgrounds rapidly.
